"As Long as You're Alive Things Keep Happening."

Kureno is one of the more mysterious characters in Fruits Basket. He doesn't appear much and yet he makes the most impact in terms of plot. He reveals that the curse can be broken and that Akito is a woman. He is in the unique position to protect the rest of the zodiac from Akito's abusive outburst. He even manages to find love despite his best attempts to not to. Kureno's story is compelling and in this section I hope to draw parallels with other characters in the series and discuss his motives in greater detail.
