Kureno spent most of his life isolated from the majority of his family in an effort to keep his promise to Akito. As such he didn't have much time for friends or relationships aside from Akito. It wasn't until after Tohru met most of the zodiac that Akito's attentions were elsewhere allowing Kureno a few free minutes to himself between errands. Because of this, Kureno has few close relationships to speak of and yet those that are close to him have a large impact on his life.
