"There's something not right about him."

After his curse was broken Kureno was kept away from the other zodiac members by Akito. This was in part to keep the fact that his curse was broken a secret and part because Akito monopolize his attentions. This separation naturally made him a stranger to the other zodiac members, especially the younger ones who hadn't met him as a child.

"Have none of you ever felt it? With Kureno. There's something not right about him. " - Shigure Sohma

Growing up he was somewhat of an outsider. He was older than Ritsu and younger than the trio of Shigure, Hatori, and Ayame. With no zodiac members his age he often played with played with the older boys. This changed when the curse was broken. Shigure was attracted to Akito and when Kureno indulged Akito's request to enter a sexual relationship Shigure began to resent him.

For the younger zodiac members Kureno was an enigma and somewhat an ill omen. Where Kureno went, Akito usually wasn't far behind. None of the younger members of the zodiac had the opportunity to know him. Even Momiji makes sure Kureno is alone before approaching him with the video Tohru tried to give him.

Part of the reason Kureno makes them all so uncomfortable, beyond his choice to stay with Akito is that his curse was broken. While none of the other members know it was broken for a fact but Shigure at the very least expects it was. The rest simply feel that something is off about Kureno and instinctively avoid him.
